Expected accuacy - SP101 .22 4"

I got a used SP101 in .22 for some low-cost plinking. But I can shoot better with my .357 snub than this .22 with a 4" barrel.

I got a pretty good shooter to try it out for me off a sandbag, and he got a 3" group at 15 yards.

Should I expect better?

Try different ammo. .22's can be very picky.

It should be better - make sure the bore is clean of lead fouling - some of the cheaper .22 loadings have very soft lead and tend to foul barrels.

Then try a variety of different types of ammo to see wether the group will come down in size. It should shoot to 1/2 of what your getting now or better.
