exporting shotguns to the US ?

Hi,
I am living in Europe and trying to find out how to export European made shotguns to the US. Would any of the THR members know where to find information on this subject? I know how to get an export license in my country. But applying for an import license in the US, that's where I am in the dark. Would the BATF know? Thank you in advance, mfb
