The mag extensions may be advertised by the number of rounds they hold, rather than how long they are.
Just measure the lengths of both the barrel and the original mag tube that's on the gun.
Divide the difference by the length of the shotgun rounds you will be using.
Add this additional number of rounds to what the gun now holds and then you will know what length extension to get.
Or, measure from the bottom of the mag cap to the end of the barrel. The extension simply replaces the original mag cap. My 26" 1187 SP has a ten shot extender and sticks out past the barrel about a shotgun round length. I don't think they make a 9 round ext.
