I've thought about it, but the polymer construction turns me off. I'm waiting for the Ruger PC Charger prices to normalize.

I had not heard of this one. Thanks. Didn’t come up in my “best of” searches probably because so new. For now I think I’m going to revert to my original plan of grabbing a Keltec sub2000 gen2 for throwing in a bug out pack and then grab the Charger and a folding brace when things and prices settle down. Love the potential portability of the Charger too

Sub2k I think is a better bet, or possibly a TNW Aero pistol. I really like what I’m seeing with the TNW... but nobody really talks about them much.

Like the TNW too, but for the price, weight and utility I keep coming back to the kel-Tec. Might down the road want something in 10mm though and TNW May be it

I keep looking at that exact setup. 10mm is the way to go. Next year though, I’m going to go apeturds and buy one in 45acp and submit for a form 1 to integrally suppress it, and then another form 1 to SBR it... I think. There’s still a lot to think about and a lot of time to change my mind.

I haven't carried mine hiking, or even in a back pack. But it could easily work for either. I've haven't raved about it on here as I have at my range or among my "shooting buddies", but the gun is awesome. It isn't considered a "take down" weapon, but it can quickly and easily be taken down and stored in a back pack.

It takes Glock mags, shoots 9mm, and has a rail for a red dot or flip up sights. (Or both) It handles recoil well, shoots anything ammo I've thrown in it. Get yourself a couple large cap mags, (even the cheap ones!) and you're set.

I've easily shot 700+ rounds with not even a hiccup. Yes, it is mostly plastic. But Iti assure you that it could easily be a every trip range gun as easily as it could be a bug out gun, and it is only $420..

It's a fun little blaster, even my kids like to shoot it. In my opinion, it is a great value.

I am slightly disappointed that they didn't release the 10mm and the .45acp models that they originally intended. I would have bought a 10mm without question.

Well another option I’ve been eyeing that seems to get good reviews is Freedom Ordnance FX-9. I saw them at RKGuns today for 640 so I ordered one. Not much of anything been in stock recently. Fits my desire for a backpack or bug out bag companion to my other 9mm Glock pistols about best I thought at least. Got the 4.5” barrel one so only 18.5” long and 4.5lbs. Hopefully will have in a few weeks
