EXTRACTOR SIZE. ARE THEY THE SAME EXTRACTOR?????

I have a Star Firestar M40 semi-auto. I wanted to get an extra extractor in case one fails in the future. I actually bought one that said it was able to fit the MODEL 40 S&w CAL. AND THE MODEL M43 9MM LUGER. Can someone tell me if this is so. Mr. Sherrill and others who know these Stars, does the same extractor fit the M40 and M43??? Thanks

somebody has to know something here. I may be wrong but I thought this was an informative board where everyone could post and get answers and advice. It seems to me that it is a board advertised for everyone but unless you are a recognized in the click someone, you don't get any attention to your post. Come on guys, if this is a fraternity to gun owers and enthusiatsts then please learn to help others and quit using it as a selfish get what you want and screw the rest attitude.

I'm sure they would chime in. When you post questions about parts for third world guns you may have to wait a while. My guestimate is that 99.999 percento of the gun buying public has never even seen a Star M40.

Whitey, take a pill, and consider the possibility that no one who's been online in the past 28 hours knows the answer to your question. I recommend you call the manufacturer of the part, and get them to verify the information that is printed on their product label. Maybe they actually tried it for fit in actual pistols before they mass-produced the parts and printed the labels. Just a thought.

I second calling the maker and getting the part that way. Otherwise you might try a local gunsmith that has experience with that model weapon. Just calm down a bit, don't worry, if someone knows, they will be along to help you out once they see your post. Also, to make it easier for those reading to notice the post, try referencing the weapon you are asking about in your post title. Like "Questions on Star M40 extractor?".
