Friend of mine shoots right handed but he is left eye dominant. His head is almost horizontal on the gun when he shoots, resulting in a very sore cheek bone.
How can you correct this? Force yourself to close your left eye? Shoot left handed?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Best solution is to re-learn how to shoot left-handed. Stolp gap measure would be to close the left eye prior to shooting. For target shooting, you can mess around with obscuring the front bead (via a dab of Vaseline, a small piece of tape or something similar on the left lens of the shooter's glasses).

My wife shoots righty, but is left-eye dominant. She won't change and has only gotten around this with a lot of practice and some professional instruction. My oldest son is just starting to learn to shoot long-arms. He's got the same issue, but I'm having him learn how to shoot lefty from the git-go.

I am left eye dominant and learned to shoot left and right handed. I have to keep both eyes opened since I can't close my left eye by itself. I just learned to make the right eye dominant when it needs to be.

My wife is right handed and left eye dominant
she shoots left handed
seems a lot simpler
she does everything else right handed.
