Hi all, I have a question I hope some of you may be able to answer. I have a Tikka T3 in .300 Win Mag, and just ordered a Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 scope for it. This scopes eye relief is 5.0-3.7 inches, and I am told Dednutz Tikka mounts are the best, and I really like the way they look. I am wondering (and this may be a stupid question), Would this one piece mount allow me to place the scope where it is far enough from my eye to get the proper eye relief? I really like my gun (it's my first hunting rifle) so I want to make sure I do it justice by setting it up right. I will link the mount below.

I've used the DNZ mounts before and I would think that combo should be just fine. If you have any concerns consider Talley Lightweights. They work the same and since they are 2 piece you can turn them both in either direction giving you more flxibility.

I've used both systems, like both. In fact those are the only 2 systems I'll use any more.

That scope doesn't have a rubber cap on the eye piece so mind your relief. That mount will work great.

IMO, Tikka Optilock rings are the best for a Tikka, especially for a magnum. They use the receiver rails which the DNZ don't seem to do. Optilocks also include a nice scope ring to keep from marking the scope and to help keep it straight.

I have a Tikka and I've had two Sakos, and Optilocks are all I'll use on them. They can be pricey, but they're worth it to me.

Tikka mounts

I own two Tikka Lites 270 win/308 win and use Tikka's two rings and get plenty of eye relief. My scopes have a 4.5" eye relief.
