What's your experience with this pistol? It's made by Zastavia Arms, imported by European American Armory.

I just bought one NIB yesterday, and it looks good...but in trying it out at the range, the front sight disappeared on the ninth shot! :what: Despite coordinated search by three people, we were unable to find it. It was evidently flipped at least 15-feet by the recoil, though I would have expected it to have slid to one side out of the dovetail. Ammunition was 155-gr SWCL standard velocity target ammo...not a hot load.

In shooting it, I noticed that when the three white dots were lined up on the front and rear sights, the top of the front sight was noticeably lower than the top of the rear sight (I lined up the dots for my first shots)...and upon checking out the 25-yd target during the first clear period, there were no hits on the standard sillouette-sized target...and I'm a good shot!

I suspect a front sight from another model pistol was incorrectly installed on this pistol.

Was this just a fluke, or are there common problems with this model? I'm sending it back, of course...question is whether I want it back.:fire:

A guy at the range has one and it seem to shoot fine . Start your shooting at around 10 yards ,find your group and go from there. Higher velocity ammo can print quit differently too. I have a 40 s&w witness with a convertion to 9mm too. The 9 has fixed sites. Both are good at 10 yards but at 25 yards the fixed site model i hold the front site high ,I set the white dot level with the top of the rear site. You can allways change it or just learn to work with it. I just learn to work withit. I shoot the 9mm more than the 40 so i set my 40's site the same so they both shoot alike ,,basicly. But for the price of those guns they seem a like a good deal.
