I recently purchased a Ruger M77R MKII chambered for 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser. After much research, I decided this was an excellent all-around, yet relatively light kicking, cartridge for North American game.

There seem to be ample options for factory cartridges loaded for larger sized game (156 grain), medium game (130 grain) and smaller mid-sized game (100 to 110 grain). Further, there's plenty at 139/140 grain, which seems to be a good all purpose round.

I was hoping to find something more like 80 or 90 grains under the belief that this would be a good varmit load. The closest I've found are the 100 grain cartridges from Conley.

I'm interested in hand loading, but for a variety of reasons that's probably not a realistic option for me in the short term for me. Anybody have any advice as to where I could obtain some factory loads such as these? Or, maybe I'm on the wrong track and those bullet weights aren't really ideal for varmints anyway? Also, buying a varmint gun in 220 Swift, 22-250 or similar isn't a realistic option right now either, so please no suggestions to get a different gun!

Much appreciated.
