FAL Cocking Handle Stuck

I am a novice with rifles generally and certainly with the FAL. I have a Century inch FAL with folding cocking handle. While trying out mags today the cocking handle appears to have gotten stuck to the bolt carrier so that I cannot remove the bolt or push the handle all the way forward. I do not know what is wrong but suspect that something in the cocking handle mechanism is stuck in the bolt carrier. I cannot figure out how to get the handle unstuck. Any ideas?
