FAL Metric magazines - best prices?

Who's got the best prices right now on FAL metric magazines? I'm going to be coming into a FAL shortly, and I might as well start window-shopping for it.....

DSA has some very nice Austrian mags for 5 dollars each. You can get 3 dollar magazines from cheaperthandirt.com, but they are of varying quality.

Century Arms has some for cheap. I think they're around $5. Not sure of the quality though.

THR and Falfiles member kfranz has been known to sell a lot of used mags for good prices. Over the summer I bought 10 mags for $49 shipped. They arrived clean (no cosmoline), with various levels of finish, and almost no rust. 9 of them worked flawlessly right away, and the 10th one worked after I bent the feed lips a little. I would PM kfranz before ordering from someplace else, he has a very good rep on Falfiles and is nice to deal with.

Also, quite a few places sell mag spings, followers, and floor plates so if you get a bad mag you can usually get it working again.

The five dollar FAL mags I got from DSA were well worth the money. Took a little while to ship though, but the wait was worth it. I would also recommend joining the FAL files if you already haven't.

I don't know if my experience is unique, but I've found that my FAL likes well-used magazines over new ones. The 4 new ones I bought wouldn't feed reliably. I compared them to my used mags that run well and found sharp corners and burrs on the bottom of the lips that weren't on the used mags (I guess they wore off, if they were ever there). I used a round file on the corners and burrs and have yet to take the FAL back to the range to see if they run better now.
