I was looking in to buying a Falcon scope. Does any one have a opinion on them. thanks for any input.

Which model? I have a pair of 1.5-5x30 Falcons that I use on an AR-10 and AR-15. They have good glass fo the price (I paid $200 each, which isn't bad for this type and magnification range scope), are pretty rugged and the illuminated reticles are pretty good, too. The picture makes the lower portion seem fuzzy but it"s really not.

I'd say the glass is closer to Nikon Buckmaster on my pair than to Prostaff level, but not as good as the Monarch line or Leupold Mark AR (all of which would cost more).

I've got a 4-14FFP. Glass is ok, and the mil adjustments track correctly. It is however, very unforgiving of head position. Meaning that if you move your head even slightly from side to side the whole picture blacks out. This is the worst scope I've used in that regard. For the $300 I paid for it, I'd do it again, but for the $400+ they seem to go for now I'd look at other options.

I haven't used that model, but it typically has good reviews. You may be able to get something better for the price. What is your intended use? (Distances, hunting or target, etc.)

Looks like they run $400-$450 and have mil/mil adustments, so it would be hard to beat that. If you want mil/mil and can live with 3-10x40, the Weaver Tactical Grand Slam at Midway is $300 and has very good glass compared to scopes up to $500 or so.

I've shot with a couple of models of this brand scope. My experience was that the glass was average, but the tracking wasn't that good. On the other hand, maybe you say that it wasn't too bad. On the last one that I shot, it was 3 clicks off when coming back to zero. If you're gonna set it and leave it, it shouldn't be a problem.

If you want to do some long distance shooting, check out the Bushnell Elite 3200 fixed 10X. Nice scope for under $200.

I have a 4-14 and am very pleased . Mil / Mil adjustment , FFP , side focus . IMO glass on mine is very good . I have used a friends mk 4 , and both myself and the owner thought it was almost equal with a just slight edge to the Lupy in clarity and a edge to the Falcon in brightness . So much so , He went out and bought a Menace also . Tracking is good for a scope at this pricepoint , elevation is spot on and repeatable from 600 to 100 back and forth . Windage on mine has show a variance of up to 2 clicks when I cranked on it doing some repeatability testing with it . When doing normal windage adjustments it has been spot on . Its a great choice for someone looking for a FFP Mil Mil on a budget . Only downsides is warranty is 5 years and has to be done through the distributor and they are tough to find in stock .

I bought a VORTEX VIPER 6.5x20X44MM and I love it. Good clear glass on even the highest power, haven't sighted it in yet but so far I am satisfied. thanks for all the input though.
