Ok, I've been visiting the various forums here for awhile, and I keep seeing posts where folks who own certain brands or types of guns can show them off. Well, I think it's time to see the whole family together, rather than one at a time.

So, quit playing favorites and post 'em all up! Sure, that Kimber Pro Carry or custom-bedded Remington 700 with the uber-scope might be the most photogenic of your collection, but let's look beyond that and give the whole clan the lens-time they deserve.

To get it started, I'll share my small but much-loved group:

Very nice!

Man, do I ever want a Mak. I don't see them in my usual shops, and I dunno that much about them..but they look like awesome guns and I hear they're tons of fun.

How do you like the PLR? I've heard it's a bit tricky to get a decent hand-hold on the thing. Other than that, they look like they'd certainly be good for an afternoon blasting watermelons.

HKENVY - Very cool. I don't personally own a revolver yet, but my fiancee's 642 has me pretty jealous. All of yours look to be well loved and cared for. :)

Thanks for showing us!

Aha! A fellow Rock Island owner! (ok, so technically I don't own a Rock, but still the same company)

How do you like your Rock? I was intending to get one, but got the Charles Daly at the last second because of the beavertail grip safety. I'm a wuss, and hammerbite sounds painful.

Thanks for sharing!

keep 'em coming ya'll...I'm getting wicked jealous of some of these collections. Gotta start saving those pennies, heh.

I've got 2 rocks the full size and an officer model. Never had hammer bite with either. That being said I find I have hold the grip higher on the Taurus.

Hm. Maybe I'm overly worried, I have some meaty paws and it's affected my ability to properly grip certain styles of pistols. I LOVE my Charles Daly though. Just wish I had the cash for more ammo. :)

I would say my hands are average. On the officer model it fits perfectly. I agree on the ammo prices.I just got the AR 2 weeks ago and found some 223 for $3 a box.:what:

Maks are great. Accurate, reliable and built like a tank.

The PLR is the most interesting fun gun I've bought in a long time. Shooting is no problem. Two hand pistol style, or one hand on grip and the weak hand holding forearm or front of magazine works well.
It's reliable and very accurate.

This Family Pictures thread has given me an idea. I can't get my Family in one picture, so I'll continue to take pictures of the "branches" of the family.:)

Awsome pics! new to this forum, avid hunter and owner of several long guns in many different calibers, just moved to a state where handgun ownership is a little easier than NewYork. Recent aquisitions are Springfield v 10 ported ultra compact (my carry piece) Rossi 38 snub the wifes, and NIB springer XD45. Will keep adding family members till I have enough kids to display with the big dawgs!!!

M2 - Yea man, so far so good. Keep that family tree going!

Blackbird - Welcome to the high road! I'm pretty new myself, but it's been good times so far. Congrats on the move, my girl and I are trying to get out to a more friendly state soon as we can. And don't worry about keeping up, show what you got! My collection is teeny tiny compared to some of these guys, but I'm proud of what I have. :D

The only "group" photo I can find. Really need to get them all together for a photo shoot. Sad, many of these are no longer with me.

And one just because.

Okie - Thanks for contributing. I've never shot one of those single-shot pistols, are they mainly for hunting, or do they do target-duty as well?

And nice CD! That's the EFS, right? If so, that's the one I have too. Although yours has much nicer grips, heh.

I don't hunt anymore, except for the occasional walk thru the woods for tree rats and bunnies. So all I do is target. My 223 and my Striker will both shoot consistant 1/2MOA with several loads.
I bought the CD not expecting much, just wanted a 1911 to play with. Man was I pleasently surprised. It's become my daily carry gun, 4100 rds and counting. I bought the grips as a joke, but once I tried them I was hooked, great griping surface. And, yeah, hella cool factor.

Here's the only one in my family at the moment (Rock Island 1911 Tactical). I also have an RIA 38 super but it's gone right now being converted to 9mm. :D

Kingpin - RIA offers the tactical that has the BT safety. It also comes with a skeleton trigger and commander hammer. How do you like the Daly?

Like many here on THR my entire family is too big for a single photo. However, here are a couple of the branches.

Right on - I love my CD. I wanted a centerfire pistol for a long time after only having a few .22's. (nothing wrong with .22, but sometimes you just need a bigger boom, heh) and I fell in love with the 1911 platform after shooting a few range guns. I can't afford most of the 1911's out there, but the Rock Islands and Charles Daly's are pretty freaking sweet for the money.

Linkinlog - Very nice! The shop I use didn't have any tacticals in stock, so it was a toss-up between the CD or the Rock GI. I was originally planning on getting the Rock, but the last minute I decided otherwise. The only thing I regret (and it's not even really a regret) is that the CD is blued, and I much, much prefer parkerized guns. Just something about all the fingerprints. :D Other than that, no real problems. It's had a few FTF/FTE issues, but I'm still breaking it in, and I have a feeling the problems may very well be ammo or mag related. So, overall I love the thing. Just wish ammo was cheaper!

And man, everybody's 1911 has slicker grips than mine. This must be remedied forthwith!

Zen21 & Wes - very nice collections. Makes me glad I'm stone broke right now - otherwise I'd be at the shop right now trying to catch up, heh.
