Father's Day kitchen pass, what do I do?

My wife worked the last three nights (7-7), and today she admitted that she didn't get me anything for Father's Day and therefore, I can get my membership at the local Rio Salado Sportsman's Club or my RCBS Uniflow powder measure that I had on my wish list.

I don't really need a membership since it only costs me and my son 8 dollars to shoot all day at the range.
I have a powder measure that I hate but another THR member has one (RCBS Uniflow) at a discounted price he will sell me.
I would like to get some .357/.38 and 7.62x35mm dies so I can start shooting the wheel guns and sks again.
Currently I have an old RCBS beam scale that I use and was thinking of going digital..? (Beam scales are great cause gravity always works and its constant)
You know, even a decent gun vice/ bench rest would be nice.. I just don't know what to get..

The powder measure would be good for single stage loading of pistol and surplus rifle ammo. The beam balance will only be used to adjust the measure, you don't need digital speed.

7.62x35mm dies

You won't find many of those. You would have better luck with 7.62x39

Ughh.. you know what I mean..

I haven't fired the sks for so long I brain-farted the cartridge size! I should put the dies on the top of my list so I can use my sks for coyotes and prairie dogs. Most 7.62x39 I find on the cheap are fmj and that's a no-no for taking any game here in AZ

I'm rebuilding my Lyman powder measure after a full disassembly and two days soaking in clp. Now if I can just find that spring pin....

What kind of measure do you have & why do you not like it? They are about all the same so I have a hard time seeing how you will like another better.

barring lee PM's, kingmt is pretty much dead on on this one. I don't like the build quality of the lee's, but they work. The RCBS isn't goign to be much different than a Hornady, lyman, etc.. just slightly different methods to adjust. Then there is the measures like the CH4D pm, and the dillon (I believe). They don't use a rotating cylinder.

Well, My question to you is what do you want more?
You don't want the membership because you can shoot for 8 dollars all day. So that's out.

Your wanting dies for
.38/.357 or 7.62x39. You need/want these dies to be able to shoot your guns.

You want a gun vice to work on your firearms and a bench rest to shoot your rifle more accurately. At least, This is how I see it. And of course you need sand bags or the bench rest for a rifle.

Then of course the powder measure, But as others said no point unless it's just because you actually want it.

If I would have to suggest then it would be the dies.
You get the dies, You can load up and shoot NOW!
Thats what my vote is for.

If you hate your powder measure replace it. No point in getting new dies if you are going to dread using a primary tool of the hobby. THen you can set your sights on Christmas, anniversary and/or birthday for the rest of your wish list, knowing it will be a pleasure to load, instead of a PITA chore.

The dies it will be..

My powder measure is a Lyman 55. I was having difficulty with it not dropping rifle powder like R22 and similar. Well I tore it all apart the other night and soaked all the parts in CLP. Last night while assembling it, it dawned on me that the narrow discharge tube is where my powder is log jamming. I'm going to take it to work monday and have the machinist chuck it up and bore it up a bit, at least to .245 or so.
I'll look around, but does anyone know if there are replacement parts / larger drop tubes for the Lyman 55?
