All of my knives are favs, that is why I have sold the knives out of my collection that don't have a clearly defined role.

L to R

spyderco endura 4 w/ homemade wave
cold steel 4" serrated vaquero
ag russell hunter scalpel
cv case sodbuster
cold steel kobun
buck hartsook s30v

highlander...

Dude, it was a great choice. The double zip tie works great.

My manual of usage for the knives is basically, pair any small knife (primarily the mini fixed blades, possibly a sodbuster...but I have slippery pockets and can't keep it in easily while driving :() with any bigger "tactical" knife, but the great part about the endura is that it fills the tactical and utility roles perfectly. Really a nice "one knife for everything."

But yes, the homemade wave works ridiculously well!

ETA:

The kobun is nice, can't be beaten for $35ish. Nutnfancy has a persuasive review on it. I ended up getting it freakishly sharp fairly easily...not the hardest steel but very easy to touch up/hone. I ground the tanto tip to a convex bevel for increased resistance to chipping/breaking. I don't see it as a "user" but more of an excellent backup to a handgun. I carry it (when I carry it...not too often, not the most comfy knife to conceal, but then what 10-11" fixed blade is) at about 11 o'clock and can either draw it with a traditional grip with my right (primary) hand FAST, or draw with my left hand in a reverse grip ideal for pistol retention. If I had time to draw my pistol and the kobun at the same time I would feel quite confident using it in this fashion...it has a good feel in the hand in forward and reverse grip alike.

Despite my complaints about comfort (mainly when seated) really the sheath is great for the price and it carries quite flat. If I was more concerned about carrying it frequently I could probably rig something more adjustable/comfortable using the holes in the kydex and some paracord.

Easy no brainer for me. I have a few knives laying around but this one is by far my favorite. I have carried this one every single day for (almost) a year.

It cuts everything that needs to be cut, I have batoned it, and it has been used for prying (light:eek:) when I have been to lazy to run downstairs to get the proper tool.

speaking of the cold steel kobun tanto,i picked one up today for a fair price,(uncle sams army outlet sale, nice knife.i was looking for a gi tanto, picked the smaller kobun instead.its a lot lighter and smaller than my buck nighthawk.

Being a city slicker I'm a dyed-in-the-wool folder man. But I saw this knife and just had to have it. A2 blade, stag handle, and aluminum furniture. It won't get as much use as my slipjoints, but I can't wait to use it during one my hikes this summer.

This knife is very well put together. Fit and finish is first rate. The blade is convex ground, and is very sharp. The stag handle, while beautiful, is not quite symmetrical as it is thicker in the middle on one side. It fills the hand nicely though and feels incredible when I hold it. I hope it feels as good during use.

The sheath is also a quality piece. The leather used in its construction is pretty thick and the stitching is nice and even. I have one complaint, the belt loop is IMO unnecessarily wide and will probably make it a difficult task to secure the sheath on a belt.

Here are a couple of pics of the knife.

The top is a 10" Mad Dog Sitka bowie and is my favorite field knife.

the second down is a Mad Dog Rezine and when I want to knife kill some thing
it has been better than anything I have used before (Randalls)
Next down is a deadly and waspish Mad Dog 3/16" hard stock 7" Voodoo Hound that is my favorite defensive blade.
All the above knives are made out of carbon O1 and hard chromed
The bottom green 31/2" knife is the ORIGINAL Mad Dog Mirage x proto type and is my favorite for cutting whiskey bottles in half in front of folks I drank them with , their expressions are- PRICELESS!
