Has to be my Marlin lever .30-.30

Actually, my dad bought from a hunter in 1936 who was in need of some beer money. Paid $5.00 for it and I got it for free in 1958 when I went deer hunting for the first time. It's in the case in the closet and comes out once in a while for admiring looks and and a little coating of oil.

Mossberg 500 and New England Pardner 12- 75 for both and was given 3 boxes of birdshot, 2 boxes of Speer .45, a box of .270 and a box of .30-06. The guy didn't have a place to hunt any more and was only keeping his .357 for home defense.

Good cheap guns

Milsurps rule the roost here! K31's and Swedish Mausers for well under $200 bucks, sub $100 SKS's...etc.

Makes me smile just thinking about it :)

Marlin Model 60, was down in a pawn shop in Nashville (not one that carried guns) and this guy comes in with a good looking model 60. Asks the guy if he will pawn it. Guy said that he didn't handle guns. I asked what he wanted for it. He looked sheepishly at me and said that it didn't work, but he would take $20 for it if I wanted it for parts or if I thought I could fix it. Well I just grabbed my wallet. Took it outside and got in the car looked it over and the only thing wrong was the bolt was open. Dude didn't know how to release it. Took it home and still have it, shoots like a dream.
