It depends on what gun. Just about any 147 gr load shoots best in my S&W, Beretta, or Taurus. Silvertips or Gold Dots in my Glocks. I don't think there are significant differences in bullet design to make one type absolutely superior to all others. No +P or +P+. If I want that I'll use a 357 SIG.
I LOVE Hydra-shoks- excellent penetration and accuracy and they have a cool name! they are very lethal when they expand. Speer Gold dots 147 gr are my second favorite!
I voted "Other". As in the ones I bought at Academy Sports for about $80K out the door, about a year and a half ago.
Had to go back to reloading the 9mm when the price went thru the roof!
str1
practice with rainer 124's tightly crimped over 6.6gr of power pistol
same poi/poa as the factory mades and same perceived recoil.
costing me 15 cents to make a $1.20 round.
In my 3 digit Kel-Tec 9mm, now termed P-11 but un-named when I bought it.. Carried with
Two Geco 124 FMJs as eighth and tenth rounds out of magazine (for barrier penetration).
Fired 500+ rounds of this over the past 12 years and it's 100 % reliable and quite accurate.
