Note the external extractor on the "1911" in the bottom pic- almost certainly a Spanish Star Model B in actuality.
They’re easier to modify for the standard movie prop 8mm blankYea, thats been pretty common in a lot of flicks you see a "1911".
For revolvers I like leather.
What still frames from movies showing handguns in use are your favorites?
One of mine is shown below...

In the ambush sequence from Clear and Present Danger, the FBI Director's bodyguard emerges from the Suburban to engage AK and RPG armed adversaries on the surrounding rooftops with his Beretta 92. For me, if typifies the following: It doesn't matter what is doctrinally correct, or what the "best" equipment is for the job- sometimes you have to dance with who you brought.
Anybody want to share others?
But you don't have to dance with only a window for cover.
Remember, the most useless thing in the world is a dead bodyguard.
Yup. A P08.View attachment 1036499
Honest, Oddball's got a handgun
Just curious, but why was he operating the slide anyway? The hammer was already cocked so one would assume there was already a round in the chamber.
