Walking Tall.....Buford Pussers son, Mike, (Leif Garrett) walking into the hospital carrying a pump gun so he could protect Buford...I remember sitting in the front seat of a 1965 Plymouth Fury with my parents at a drive-in the first time I saw that movie.

Winchester 1887. Made popular by the Terminator 2 film where Arnold does a one handed flip while on motorcycle. And yes I still want one. Even if it is a knock off and not a real Winchester. When every shotgun around is a pump or semi-auto, a lever action just looks cool to me. I would not be stupid enough to try cocking and firing it with one hand though.

Only attempt if you are a 400 pound, crazy strong cyborg from the future.:)

That was my favorite movie shotgun as well. It was always magically loaded with slugs too!

Hollywood has much to answer for... on the other hand... If I'm ever downrange of someone with a shotgun I sure hope they're only "shotgun learning" was either on TV or at the movies...

And yes the scene in Open Range where a bad guy is hit through a thin wooden wall and is blown five feet away has to be either a high point or a low point (depends on your point of view...) of movie BS...

A sobering thought... if you're ever the guest of honor at a self defense trial knowing that many actually believe the mis-information they've seen on popular TV (and that some of those fine folks might actually be on your jury....) is the kind of stuff that might keep you up at night if you stop and think about it...

.

I think Hollywood has a WHOLE lot to answer for! I blame much of society's current problems squarely on Hollywood!!
