what's your favorite non toxic clp / gun care product ?
for maintenance and storage in safe looking for some recommendations
I have been using chenzoil and I am out of it now and would like to use something non toxic that will clean / lube and protect
a clp would be nice but open to a cleaner and lube , protect while stored in the safe
what is working for you all ?
Thanks

I use a coating of floor wax as protection against surface rust. The only green solution I use is Simple Green when I use my ultra sonic cleaner. Then I have to rinse, dry and lube. I only use Syn lubes thee days. I want something that stays put and takes abuse without worrying if what I use will hold up in the long run.

Seal 1 CLP Plus. I was introduced to this stuff in 2018, and since then it's all I use! Amazing cleaner, lubricant, and preservative, no need for anything else. Safe on polymer, and wood as well.

I have some nice clays shotguns. I use Mother’s carnauba paste wax from Autozone on a regular basis - wood and metal. Smells good too. Beads rain water like crazy. Helps protect oil finishes from sunscreen and face oil.

Break-Free Collector is a formula for long-term gun storage.

There are a plethora of solvent-free, non-toxic cleaners available. I just started using Frog Lube gun solvent which is “food grade” solvent. Apply lube after use.

I switched to Ballistol about three years ago, mostly because it is non-toxic.

A friend who grew up in Essen Germany ---almost--- drinks the stuff (he prefers whiskey). Germans use it on so many types of objects.

He sprayed it onto something the other day at his gun club.
Iirc the mist went onto his beautiful 1985 vintage 30-06 rifle, which looks practically mint. Then he rubbed the atomized droplets around the wooden butt stock.

Germans seem to use it very casually, the way we use Windex or bug spray.:) And for Internal gun cleaning, they sometimes are as lazy as Americans (Ja, Faul !) ), seldom cleaning internal components-if ever.

...and Wound Disinfectant? o_O:scrutiny: “Wieso?”
