thanks for just now making me realise i dont like my rifle. Its an SKS, its fun to burn ammo, but i dont like it. just doesnt do it for me. i think i'd better find a good rifle this summer. i think theres a lever action out there with my name on it.

Let me see --

I'll start with the Gae Bolga, my M82 Kimber in .22 LR.

Then there's Fionn MacCummhail, my pre-64 Model 70 Winchester in .30-06.

And Bigfoot Wallace, my custom '03 Springfield in .35 Brown-Whelen.

That’s a tough question really, like some of the guys on this board I have multiple rifles and a favorite depends on what I’m doing at the time. I guess I’d have to say my Ballard 1885 High-Walls are my favorites. I’ve got 2 High-Walls (45-90 & 40-70) and a Low-wall in .22 setup like this:

Except that mine have presentation grade wood and hand cut checkering, they also all wear MVA tang sights.

Its a toss up between my CZ 452 and SHR 970... opposite ends of the range being .22 lr and 300 Win mag... :neener:

Well, I was gonna say my M1A scout... but I realised I screwed myself by shooting the AK so much reciently.
I picked up a AK to show a buddy a few tricks I learned... and realised how good it felt... (Hadn't touched one in 2 days...)

My favorite

The one I shoot the most is my AR. My favorite, however, is my "pseudo - Scout". Called "pseudo" by the Colonel because it is built on a long action to chamber 30-06, it was built for me by a friend of mine on a Remington700 stainless platform, after an afternoon we spent together in the Colonel's workshop talking with him about all sorts of things - including this project!

Hands down it has to be my US Rifle .30 caliber M1, affectionately known as the Garand. :D I cant even say the word "garand" without smiling :D <--see

My favorite rifle is a model 70 in .243 with Leupold glass.
I bought it many years ago and hated it. It would not shoot under 8" at 100 yards. I had a smith look it over and re-bed the action and didn't do much better. I was going to trade it off when my father talked me into selling it to him. After he died, I got it back. talked to a gunsmith/dealer about selling it for me. He said to try changing the tension on the mounting screws and it turned into a beautiful, handy, little sub-MOA rifle.
It has killed a couple truckloads of antelope, deer, coyotes, and other assorted varmints.

My M1a Scout Squad with Luepold Scout Scope! Had it for many years and I will never part with it!

Would have to be my Bushy M4-A3, with Eotech and a Medievil Muzzlebreak, on an A2 stock with A1 pistol grip grip. I can run my Hensoldt Bazooka 2.5x optic behind the Eotech 552 for some magnified holosight goodness.

My scoped K31 would be a close second place running GP11 thru her, ahh, it is truly a piece of craftsmanship, the K31 :D

That Ruger #1 is a beauty. I have many guns that I enjoy, but I have to say the venerable '94 Winchester 30-30 is my favorite. I have 2, plus a 9422M which I use almost daily.

Too close to call, can't really answer.

Not that I have a bunch to choose from, but the few I have are neck and neck. They all have their high points.
