After seeing the pics of FBMG's new store in utah I decided to stop in yesterday. Yeah the store looks nice but that wasn't the best part. You don't go in there and talk to salesmen. The guys there treat you like old friends and just happen to help you out with guns. I also learned they now have a full line GUNSMITH in their store :what:. I talked to him yesterday too. I think I found my one and only gun store.

THR moderators Correia and PvtPyle are the owners. They can be PM'ed if anyone has any questions. FBMG can be reached at (801) 571-1160. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 1000-1900, if I recall correctly.

Disclosure note: I am affiliated with FBMG myself, so for the sake of fairness I'll refrain from commenting on FBMG's excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff, impressive inventory, competitive prices, and friendly, down-home atmosphere.

:D

I've bought stuff from Correia, including a 1911. His customer service over the phone and internet is great.

Three thumbs up for FBMG.

My brother, who lives in Canada, will only go to FBMG when he is in Utah. How about opening a Texas branch?

Pardon my ignorance, but where is this store located? I'm out in Eagle Mountain, and thus far have kept my purchases with Gunnies in Orem.

Hehehe I chose my name before I even knew of FBMG!
I have been using it as a screen name for computer first person shooter computer games for about 15 years.

Strange, I shoot and used to own a video production company.
What are the odds in that?

If I could die and be reincarnated, I'd want to come back as Correia.

And my wife is good looking too. :p

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

The new address is the 48 E. 13200 S. The old one is on Minuteman, but we're just off Minuteman, just one mile south of the old place. The sign goes up this week, but for now, look for the giant Army surplus Deuce & and Half with FIREARMS on it.

We've actually got two new smiths. Joe, who is our full service smith, comes over from the DOE, and can do just about anything. Dave, came over from Vector Arms, and will be doing custom Saiga conversions.

the only problem with going to the store is, that as a resident of texas visiting in utah, they cannot sell me a gun, just to utah and adjacent states' residents. there are often good prices in utah, i just cannot take advantage of them when i visit the inlaws.

Kevin, we can sell long guns to out of state residents, IF the long gun is legal in the person's home state. It does not need to be an adjacent state. Our BCI is set up to check other states laws when we call in background checks.

Bogie, Dave will be doing up an Abomination to see what it will take. The hard part is the custom bayonet. :)

Here's another vote for Fort Worth - I've got a nice big building down there just outside the Ridgmar Mall we could put'ya in. :D

I've just added the new address to my google map of "things between me and Seattle," with the intent of stopping there along the way. Maybe I'll hole up in SLC for a few days, actually -- the library's a good place to study, and the Motel 6 near Temple Sq. was a fine place to stay last time I was through.

What a nice city ... literate, nice people, wide streets, and (in season) great snow. If not for the UT taxes, it's a place I'd enjoy living, I think. (My thoughts on the theology of the dominant local religion aren't all positive, but my thoughts on the practitioners mostly are :))

And long guns are OK to out-of-staters, eh? Hmmm.

Correia, do you keep moonclips for S&W .45ACP revolvers in stock? :) What about 30-rd Saiga mags?

I'd join up a Fuzzy Bunny East.

C'mon, the east coast is where it's at. Myrtle Beach is practically CRYING for a decent gun store, with decent prices and customer service.
