"Government restrictions on firearms and ammunition" is in the top five of fears, tying with terrorism.

According to this survey, 38.5% of U.S. residents fear government imposed restrictions on firearms.

Can't discuss the #1 fear, but it and #5 could be good for the Second Amendment.

The survey's sample size is OK, but don't know how samples were chosen.

I'm not familiar with Chapman University. It's in California, in a county that used to be conservative but also is the home to the University of California at Irvine (UCI). UCI students have offered up headline level progressive extremism in recent years.

In this link, the Chapman sociology professor who led the survey attempts to ascribe the fear of gun rights infringement to paranoia. So, the firearms related results may be legit.
