I was reading about the m14 on this site, thought id get .here iam.I have a fed ord m14 w/4#.have had it about 15+ yrs. it shots out standig .25 groups or less at 100 yrds and less than 1 inch at 200 yds.I use mil surplus ammo 147 grn. I have pulled pulled the bullet. replace it with serria 165 grn bullet and it shoots into same holes. at 100 yds.with handloads with 165/168 serria hollow pts,using imr 4895 powder,using mil brass,once fired brass from federal.all fe brass was fired once fired through rem 700 sniper rifle.so i must have a freak m14.i have used it for pig hunting, first pig with the m14 was about 100 yds running hit pig behind left shoulder after he tumbled 2x he did not get up 165 grn serria great bullit.I allso have an m1 made by national ord it shoots good but not great front sight is loose. would be nice to hear from any one .
