Change batteries when you set your clock forward "AND" backword and you are good to go. I've "heard firsthand accounts" of "everything" failing in the "sandbox", if you make enough of something and put it in a hostile environment some will fail. Aimpoint is more robust than EO at a higher price. I rely on two 512's on my carbines that take me out to 50 yds fast, 100 medium, and 200 from a rest. Just my 2cents worth.
