I should be taking delivery of a new-to-me FEG Hi Power clone this week.

Was wondering if I should consider replacing any of the springs. True, I haven't even looked at the pistol yet, but I am anticipating, as it's a used gun, that springs might/should be replaced.

If so, which ones are critical; how easy is it to do (the recoil spring is basic, what about others?); and which Wolff pack should I get? I've ordered a buffer from Buffer Technologies; and now should I be reducing the power of recoil spring (improve trigger?), increasing it...or what? Need some help on this. Never had to do it before with my Smiths.

I'd get a factory recoil spring and drop that in when you get the gun. Stay with factory tension on the hammer spring. Everything else, replace when it starts causing problems.

Replace the recoil & mag springs, forget the buffer, and leave the other springs alone.
