Hi all,
I just replaced the hammer spring on my FEG PPH (PA-63 but in .380) with a Wolff 9# hammer spring! The DA trigger pull went from bad to worse. This is the opposite of what I expected since I have a PA-63 with a Wolff 9# hammer spring with a trigger pull as smooth as butter!! I put the original hammer spring back in the PPH, and the DA trigger pull is back to normal, which is basically terrible....
I checked the internals, and everything looks OK, and look the same as my PA-63.
To make matters worse, the decocker/safety on my PPH is stiff as hell when I decock the trigger, stopping about halfway before I have to put some major thumb muscle into it to get it to release.
Needless to say, I'm disappointed that what I thought was going to be an easy fix with a Wolff reduced power hammer spring is turning out to be a major pain in my index finger and thumb So much for FEG quality control....
Any advice would be appreciated.
