Feinstein Urged to Run in Recall Race

Carnitas: you still don't get it. If Davis is out in the initial vote, he's not a possible entry on the second!

Got that? The initial up/down vote on HIM either boots him out, or doesn't. If he's out, he's out, permanently.

It was my understanding that he could also enter himself on the ballot with all the other canidates. Is that not true? Does the law read... "anyone who pays $3500 and gets 100 sigs can be on the ballot except the guy getting thrown out"?

If Feinswine decides to run she will win. She'll then appoint some big-money, corporate, anti-gun Democrat to her old seat. So the country won't be a bit better off. It gets worse.

When she decides to run, it will be made to appear reluctant and done for the "good of the party." This will give her a LOT of credit with the national Democrat party. We have to assume that the next presidential election is the Shrub's to lose. Th is will put her in very good shape to run for president at the end of the 2nd Bush term. Don't sell her short. She could very well pull it off.

Carnitas: there are a grand total of TWO people who are registered California voters with no criminal record, who that does NOT apply to.

Davis is one.

For super-bonus trivia points: who's the other?

Jim did you say McPhereson?

I didn't know he was running
The two best pro-gun GOPers in contention at this point are McPherson and Simon. We
you mean Mclintock right?
while I am very happy with McPherson for the AB50 no vote
I am not sure how "pro gun" he is and doubt
that he would be for ccw

Right, it's *McClintock*. Not McPherson. Sigh. McPherson isn't running - thank God, because at least until this latest vote on AB50, he's been a grabber.

I have been sort of following the "goings on" in the recall Red Davis campaign, and all I can say is "I'm soooo dizzy".

Whoever gets the Guv's seat is inheriting a mess that i can't even begin to fathom. But, yeah, I could see Queen DiFi becoming the Guv, and appointing Red Davis to her Senate Seat. (I am at a bit of a loss here...Is that how it works...someone leaving a Senate Seat can appoint the replacement? No election to fill that vacancy?) My 9th grade Civics Class is failing me now!

Best possible scenario? Jim March is visiting east of the border, and the San Andreas Faul lets go......

someone leaving a Senate Seat can appoint the replacement? No election to fill that vacancy?)

No, I think the appointment is done by the state's governor. No election, the appointment is just for the duration of the departing senator's term.

I think that's how it works.

Regards.
