Ok so after all these years I thought I pretty much had this law figured out and knew all the ins and outs of it. Now recently I was reading another forum and someone stated that with the NJ law the "feature ban" of the pistol grip, flash suppressor, bayonet lug, etc. can only be enforced on guns that are specifically listed. He went on to say that a gun that was not on the list such as a Robinson M96 could have every evil feature and be perfectly legal. Somehow this does not sound right to me and I'd be very leary to try out that arguement.
My other question has to do with HK91 and HK94 series of rifles. Since the post-ban bushmaster and MAK-90 rifles are legal in NJ based on the State AG's letter and the fact that they don't have the evil parts what about rifles such as the PTR-91 and MP5 clones that are a totally different name than the HK94 and not on the list? By my calculations they should be legal, but when it comes to this state I'm never quite sure and since I have yet to see either in a gun store I figured I would see if anyone here knows the answer.
