Gentlemen,
The following is some of the line drawings and equipment used in the field and at rebuilding centers for the M1 Garand Rifle.

The history book shows what's going on from the early 1920's to the late 1939. As things happen in history Ordnance is moving trying to stay ahead.

I could use some hits. If I can get them up I might get a Sponsors or you guys could buy my CD. Read about it on my sites.

It seems that the military was serious about bringing any improvements to the Garand to the field ASAP.

Eclancy,

another interesting post.

But I gotta disagree with the forged trigger guard assy. being 'preferred'. Seems to me that it didn't in fact perform as well with long use as the uglier stamped one.

eclancy,

Another fascinating post. Do you have any idea how many rebuilding centers there were? I mean, were these select locations around the country at that time, or were these centers found on all miltary bases?

Gentlemen,
Khornet, That's my point I didn't say it Ordnance did. You gotta go with their call.
Jaim03,
Ordnance units were in the field.
I hope this data helps
Thanks again
