hmmm...

...where's the pictures and/or vid from the Get Together?
I hope we didn't shoot the camera!
...or blow up its' lil' electron brain with the concussion from the cannon...
...heeheehee...
Think about that fer' a second...the cannon...
Where else can you find someone that'll host THAT!?
HAH.... rauch06.gif

I'm trying to get the Video Loaded up but I'm having problems....:banghead:

If I can't get it here tonight I'll take it to a Computer shop and have them do it....

Also,I didn't make it home with a 40cal Bore Snake so if someone has an extra it's mine.....it's marked with a Silver Sharpie "40cal"

Larry,
Sorry for the holes in the metal targets......

ha...

...jus' giggin' ya' man, no worries...
I'll check my bag but the only one I see is my lil' green one...Drop me a note or PM if ya' want, maybe I can help with the pics...hang in, rauch06.gif

First, thanks to the Ashcrafts for having us over.
Second, Thanks for finding my glasses (cue banjos: I once was blind, but now can see...)
Third, thanks for that delicious chili.

Not many places have room for the cannons. That was fun, and a learning experience: #10 percussion caps don't work well on a #11 nipple.
1000 gr of 2f powder in the little mortar really shakes the ground.

Bike-N-Shoot tomorrow. www.bikenshoot.com

hmmm...

...ya' know the weather's gettin' cooler, and the days are gettin' shorter...
Is there any more of that chili left?

...Hey, I ain't too proud ta' beg... rauch06.gif

I'll be in the Springs with my wife starting tomorrow for a week. We're staying at the Broadmoor, can somebody bring some of that chili by?

...excellent...

...there really is a higher power...
The farm is callin' me back!
LOL...way cool, I can trade some 45 or 5.56 or 38S...I could even try to rid your place of the Terrible Stealth Doves...I know they are vicious and must be eradicated...or at least forced to duck and dodge a 'bit... rauch06.gif

So...

You guys name the date (Friday would be good).

This year's chiles are vicious hot. MaterDei, hook up with Glenn. He knows where we live, and it would be sacrilege to eat Sandy's chili anywhere but Sandy's kitchen.

well...

I never turn down an offer like that...I'm comin'...(good Lord willin' and the creek don't rise)...
It's time to deal with the Stealth Dove Situation...I'm sure we can find a way to get in a little blastin' as well...You have to try my other new Colt and of course that'll begat other be_gattin...which'll stir up the chili fixins and...
...who knows...It's always a blast though...

Are we having another "Fifth Annual Colorado Get Together" ? :what:

If so and all are welcome,I'll be there with the same crew (Ryan,Jim and myself) and Jess doesn't have to work so she'll be able to come this time.

I don't get off work till 1pm on Friday...

I'll have 2 new Guns....

ha...

...This'll be great...Fifth Annual Colorado Get Together Again...
I don't get off 'til 15:30 on Friday, how 'bout Sat or Sun???
I'm in for sure...New Colt secondary for folks to try...and
I know those stealth doves are hidin' out down there
...they must be, corrected... rauch06.gif

well...

...I'm gonna' try to get down early enough to chase the stealth doves...
They are a menace and must be dealt with...if I can find them...after all, they are pretty stealthy...teehee...
What do ya'll need us ta' bring? Chips, dips, 28ga ammo? rauch06.gif

What time on Saturday?
We are here. I'm usually moving around some by 7:00 or so. The collareds are flying pretty good right now.

I may be working on a tractor (40th HS reunion next weekend). But you guys show up and we'll have a good time!

Chili will be on the stove.

Wow, the second coming of the 5th colorado get together! Man, thats tempting. I'll be out fishing on Saturday, trying to get into some bass, and possibly some Muskies, if we're lucky. If nothing is biting, I will have to head on down there. The doves are hiding, and my .45 mags are still with Larry, and hear tell Larry's got an antelope sausage recipe thats halfway decent, and I've got the antelope for it!

Hmmm.... hope I can make it. If not, y'all have fun!

yup...

...and thanks for letting me help break yer' tractor
As always a great time @ Larry and Sandys'...Truly gracious hosts and always something new...even if I did help destroy a tractor as old as I am...
The stealth doves are still a menace and may persist in harrassing the Ashcrafts' into the next year...We put up a good fight, but there were just too many...
Justin arrived with reinforcements and was promptly rewarded by Sandy with Green Chili Recipe #2...incredible stuff and we are scheming on a method to create Sandys' Chili Spa and Tractor Repair...It would be a huge hit...
Off to the fields we went, encountering, of course, hostile Stealth Doves, bats, ducks and winds promoting dove speeds in excess of 80 knots...After Justin folded a few like crumpled newspaper, we marched like Sherman from end-to-end of the place several times...We quit at 0dark:30 and fell-back to the hacienda and reported...
Justin then proceeded with a lesson in...
Field Stripping The Stealth Dove
Quite illuminating...
Another great day in the life at the Ashcrafts...
Thanks Larry and Sandy...

woohoo!! Sounds awsome. Sorry i missed it.

I was up by Jefferson Lake past Kenosha Pass, up around 10,000ft looking for blue grouse. Heard some, didn't shoot any. But did see some fantastic mulies and even a massive elk off on the far pass! I bet that would be a great area to hunt elk in.

Anyways, would have enjoyed spending the Saturday at the Ashcrafts instead, sounds fantastic. Thanks for opening your home, Larry.

Success!

Gyp_c2 didn't break nothin', but my neglect did. I spent a little time over on www.johnnypopper.com and found out the little 40 is repairable, but it may take some time.

On the other hand, whie Justin and Glenn were hunting doves, Robert and I were trying to get my big JD AR running, without much success. Today, I replaced the plugs, and it sounded a little better, but still wouldn't run. So, I replaced the plug wires, and still no help. We drug it around the field three times and all we got was random pops.

THEN, I noticed the throttle didn't seem right, and it seemed like the engine was trying to start at an idle. So I looked around and found a broken spring in the throttle linkage. Welded that up, put it back together, and after about four cranks, we were rewarded with some big POPS.

The AR is running. We're in business for the parade on Friday. :D
