As per this thread I've employed EC-10's wonderful discovery that a M-14 magazine is almost a perfect fit in a short action RUGER M77. The main reason for my doing this is to allow for a longer magazine facilitating using ammo with a longer C.O.L. BUT those 6 extra rounds are kinda nice as well. A couple hours of careful fitting of the mag was all that was required for the swap. The only part of the rifle that was modified was the floorplate hinge assy was shortened slightly. Total cost minus the rifle was $15
