this is my final poll before purchase of my 200 dollar scratch off money rifle. :D

Please choose one and tell me WHY?

Please do not choose none and give me opinion as to ANOTHER :cuss: choice you have....... any further suggestions should post to my prev posts:fire:.

THANKS ALL

It is totally your preference to which one to buy, but I voted for Saiga.

Personally i like the feel of the Saiga over the NEF, plus the ease of finding ammo is a plus as well.

Good luck in your choice and I hope you enjoy it.

What I would pick and why? Bettween those two, probably the Saiga. It's center fire, I can reload for it. It's kinda/sorta a homeland defense rifle.

It kind of matters what exactly you want to do with this purchase (and I don't recall seeing your previous post).

How about an NEF in .223?

i can't get the nef in 223 for 200 or under.......... and for me, i would really only go for the NEF if it was 17 or 308..... 308, cause ireally wanted the big bullet and 17 cause it is just so damned interesting.

Saiga all the way - good varmint round, adequate self-defence/SHTF round (altho I'd prefer the 7.62x39 for that! :D ), 10-round capacity, will hold its value better than the NEF... need more?

It sounds like you're trying to 'settle' on something, simply to blow some extra cash. The calibers you listed are so, um....different from one-another, they cannot even be grouped in the same classes; rimfire, small-bore centerfire, large-bore centerfire.

Save your money and purchase a rifle that will cover the most needs you require of it. Buy quality, servicable firearms from the beginning. If you continue these compulsive buys you will only own entry-level junk, since you'll lack ability to save for the firearm you really desire.

If either of the rifles you mentioned were ones you desired, you would have already purchased it by now. 'Settling' is bad, and expensive, overall. $200 in the bank is doing more than a rifle that's not being employed weekly. It's growing, and the next level of quality is getting closer with each deposit. I own quality, and I've owned junk. Second best will always be second best.

I didn't vote for either, and lack the time to dig through older posts to see why you're considering the 2 in the poll. I only know that there's tons of rifles out there that are of better quality.
