I've only been interested in handguns for about 15 years. As far as plastic guns go, I've tried Glocks (my first .45 was a G21) and Springfield XD (9mm). Both were good shooters, but they just were not for me. I just recently traded into a new HK USPc 9mm. I think this will be a keeper. DAO or SA/DA has never thrilled me, but being able to carry this HK "cocked & locked" is a feature that the Glock & XD lacked. Anyway, I just had to share this.

HK USPs are nice! I prefer the full size but they are all nice. The fit the hand nice and shoot terrific and their proprietary recoil spring system works pretty good. They also have a great reputation with regards to their durability.

My one complaint is the trigger pull. Kinda mushy in my book, at least on the samples I have shot. Over all one of the finer guns out there.

I was torn between the Glock G19 and USPc 9mm and I went with USP for the same reason you did, cocked and locked carry. Having a safety doesnt slow me down either.

USP 40 fullsize was my first gun, and I love it. One of my favorite parts about it is the total flexibility of the control lever. Sounds like you have found out how neat it is as well.

Enjoy!!!

High price and odd mag release for me.
Not to mention, as some have expereinced.
Parts breakage more than
a Glock, and crappy customer service
from H&K if you are not a department.

I'd rather have a Glock or my new M&P .

HK USPc...a great gun by any measure. I love mine because it carries my initials. :D

It just dawned on me that this was my first plastic gun too.
Great minds...
