Finally decided to buy an AR.

10 good working magazines per rifle is a solid amount but consider picking them up when on sale. Palmetto State Armory is a good place to shop for combo deals like a red dot and 10 PMAGS or $8 aluminum mags. Some like aluminum, I do, but others prefer polymer, I have plenty of those too.

How much ammo? A comfortable amount for your budget.

One of my several loose range ammo boxes, no idea how many rounds this is.

450 rounds to process from last week.

Prepping last week’s brass for storage and eventual reloading (next month). ~1,200 rounds, give or take.

Do you spray the brass with anything when prepping for storage (to prevent corrosion or tarnish)

That is filthy cheap for an AR-10.

It is like trying eat one potato chip, I keep looking at their site and the sale, $350.00 for a complete upper and lower, that price how can anyone not, it is pushing the limit of how inexpensive it can go, maybe could go a little cheaper by building piece by piece but come on, $350.00 for a M4 type carbine, even S&W sporter doesn't touch that price and the S&W is not expensive and is real good in it's own right.

Not a thing. Some of my Winchester 30-06 brass is decades old never loaded with just a hint of patina. Fired brass gets tumbled, sprayed with Hornady One Shot, de-primed/re-sized, and bagged. Those too have kept years without much tarnish as well.

Once loaded I have two types; bulk and precision. Precision goes into small MTM plastic cases (20-100 round with dividers) then into MTM gasketed ammo boxes with a Zerust tab. That’s the yellow rectangle visible in the bulk ammo box, which is all bulk gets as those rounds get depleted rather quickly.

Welcome to the world of EBR (Evil Black Rifles). I purchased mine many years ago and have built plenty since. Had to feed them so I moved into reloading and never looked back.
