So after a year of reading threads and scanning reviews and quite a bit of reading 1911Tuner's advice (even before I joined I was reading posts by googling 1911 reviews) I finally got me a 1911. I will have pics soon...
Tuner will be glad to know that it is a fullsize.
It's a Norinco frame and slide and everything else has been replaced with Wilson parts. Wilson barrel, combat sites ( 3 dot glow in the dark), skeletonized bobbed hammer, skeletonized trigger with a 3-4# pull, light and crisp, beavertail grip safety, slide safety, combat mags, belevled magazine well, a "memory" something or other... I forgot what it was, and a FLGR. I will need to ask about how to remove the FLGR later.
Not a bad setup for 550$ eh?
I put 50 rounds of 230 grain FMJ through it and it is much more accurate than me. I had to get used to the light trigger but I think it will spoil me. had a FTF because the mag wasn't flush, that was the only hiccup.
So now I'd like reccomendations for a IWB holster if ya'll know any good ones. The Uncle Mikes size 5 just seemed "thick" for IWB.
Also, what do ya'll think of my purchase?~Nathan

. a FLGR are pretty easy to remove, just unscrew the front half, pull it out, then use something like the bottom of a mag to depress the plunger and twist the bushing out of the way, unless its a tight fit then use a bushing wrench. just becareful, the plunger is under a bit of pressure and will go flying if you let it, I had mine leave an impression in my bedroom ceiling.
