They spelled my name wrong! Looks like another call to get that straightened out

I just sent an email, guess I'll have to wait until Monday to see what they say. I don't have any money to spend right now anyway, car repairs have soaked it all up...:banghead:mtnbkr said:I had a spelling mistake on mine as well. A short email to BATF earned me a quick and extremely polite response. I had a new copy of my C&R within a week.
The ATF has divided the U.S. into divisions. Each division has it's own licensing administrator. How quickly you get your license depends on the admin and/or how "busy" he or she is with that particular division and their volume of applicants. Some admins are slow while others are faster but have heavy work loads. Some are fast AND have manageable work loads...those are the ones that get them out quickly. They do have a couple in the licensing center that are just swamped with applications. Remember, they do have to do background checks. That takes time and is often done with assistance from other agencies (even more time consuming). In the meantime, the applications just keep piling up.
Guys in Teaxs are waiting a long time too. My guess is you're in the same region as they are, expect a long wait.rednex said:louisiana
What are the advantages of a C&R?
What does it allow a person to do that they otherwise could not?
