Finally got my C&R. 4 1/2 months later.

Well it finally arrived today. Sent in my application in March. BATF cashed the check March 9th.

Weeks passed. Phone calls and letters. Turns out my name came up with a number of aliases. I guess the government wants to know who they're issuing licenses to.

Finally got a visit by a local Los Angeles BATFE agent who came over to clear things up. True to his word, the license showed up shortly after our visit.

Time to send off copies to Brownells, Midway, and my paperwork to the CMP for my 1903A3.

Also time to start shopping for C&R's when I go on my monthly business trips to Las Vegas and my visits to see family in Phoenix.



Of course, now I'd like to see what can be done to clear up the alias issue.

Have all my paperwork filled out for my F.F.L. just need to send it in. Does anyone have a idea how long it takes to get a license ?

Lucky you!! At least you can have one. Here in Jersey you can't unless you want to be a full time dealer.

Last year, my 03 took about 10-11 days. And I'm even in the PRK.
Surprised I didn't get stuck on that alias thing, since I have a fairly common name. (Well, except for my somewhat rare middle one)

Last year (Dec o4) mine took 13 days..... and my last name is the most common. I recently heard another guy here in Mo say his only took 9 days....

Have you had any trouble going through NICS?
