It took 2 months waiting and a not inconsequential fist of cash, but the wait is over, got my FN 57 Fire Dragon threaded barrel yesterday. Nothing 57 is cheap or quick, but, as an advanced form of the disease, I've learned to live with it :)

Figured I'd share a picture of the pistol wearing my Kestrel-core Guardian 22.

Good suggestion Ironman, I will run a rod though it and test fire with a cheap aluminum brake I have laying around.

Got the barrel on a lathe today so we could turn it, gauge showed zero runout. Next we put the suppressor on the lathe and made note of the runout at both ends. Finally, we installed the suppressor on the barrel and put the assembly on the lathe, the runout measured on the suppressor at no time exceeded what was observed on the suppressor by itself.

After a visual inspection we all agreed the concentricty of the new barrel's threading appears to be as close to perfection as one should expect.

Wish me luck :)
