I finally got to shoot my 'new to me' SIG SP2022 in 9mm today. It's been quite a wait. I bought this gun on GunBroker about Feb 5th or 6th. Had to wait for my money order to get to the seller. Then the gun was shipped to my FFL. I went in to do the paperwork at the FFL on Feb 15. Maryland normally has a seven day wait period, but with everyone buying everything in sight, the state police are way behind in doing their work. So it was April 11th when I got the call that that I could pick up the gun. In good old Maryland, when you are approved for a gun purchase, the state doesn't say that you were 'Approved'. The application is stamped 'Not Disapproved'. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

So anyway, I got the gun on the 11th and finally got to the range today (26th). The pistol ran flawlessly. I put about 140 rounds through it with no problems. It feels a lot like my 229, in 9mm also.

I was shooting well with it until the end. For the last 20 rounds I put up a new target. I must have been getting fatigued or something because I only had 13 holes in the target. :what: It had to be me. The gun could not have changed. Maybe the seven missing bullets went into some of the existing holes. :neener:

So, it was a beautiful day, the gun ran flawlessly and the 2022 is going to be a keeper.

I love my SP2022. Was keeping an eye out for one for a while but never found one locally. About a year ago I met a guy at a not so local shop to transfer a Sig 522 I bought from him, and what did I see when I walked in the door? Needless to say it went home with me as well. It's currently my nightstand gun with a TLR3 attached. Just got the 2 extra mags I'd ordered a couple days ago. They are great shooters, can't go wrong for the money.

I got mine from buds in December I ordered it with the nite sites and threaded barrel . Finally got to shot it Sunday and just like my pro2340 accurate as hell and heavan to shoot.
