Ordered my first rifle today after finally getting my licence after a 5 month wait. Some of you may have seen all the crap I had to go through to get it, but if not you can read about it here:

So, what gun did I order? Well I was after a rimfire, and after much consideration, decided to go with the CZ 452 American for AU$700. I didn't order a lever action as well like I originally intended, I want to leave that one a bit longer and just enjoy the first gun a bit before I buy another one.
I bought a scope too, a Tasco World Class 2-8x32 for AU$200. I looked through a lot of scopes (Nikko Sterling, cheaper Leupolds, Arctic Wolf (made in Leupold factory) and this one immediately felt the best. Very bright and clear compared to a lot of the others. And it's nice and compact too.
The stock on the gun has some nice figuring in the walnut, too - nothing fancy or "in your face" but a nice subtle figure. I don't plan on getting a trigger kit for the rifle as I am going to put a few hundred rounds through it and see where the trigger is after that. Just have to wait another 28 days for my permit to clear then I'm good to go - and there will be pics!
