I've been looking for a used Taurus or Beretta 92 locally for a couple of years. The only one I can across was an old beat up one with a crappy laser at my local scam shop for $480. I got a call from my buddy 2 Saturdays ago telling me there was a really nice older one at our favorite shop. I was out of town for work, so I wasn't able to get there. I called last Wednesday and asked if it was available and the guy told me it was sold 20 minutes before I called. I was pretty bummed that I missed it.
I went in the shop this passed Saturday and was telling the owner how I would have bought that gun in a heartbeat. He said the one of the guys put it in back and was holding for a guy that they hadn't heard back from and he didn't even put any money down. He said if I wanted it, it was mine! I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough.
It came with (2) 10 and (1) 15 round mags. I called Taurus and the guy told me it was made some time in the 1980's. I was shocked because it is is near mint shape.
