Finally scored a Taurus 738

Got some money for Christmas to buy whever "gun things" I wanted. What I wanted was a 738 as a pocket carry upgrade from my P32. But I simply couldn't find one anywhere. With the current panic frenzy going on, just about everything is flying off the shelves at both of my local gun shops.

One local shop is a stocking Taurus dealer, and I'd been calling almost every day. He told me on Wednesday he had gotten three 738s the day before, and two were already sold. I beat feet over there in time to grab the last one. Also ordered a Desantis pocket holster.

Which model did you get?? Great little shooter and seem to run well with any brand. My wife has 738SS that I polished out the slide and painted the sights along with a couple other brands but grabs the TCP most. You may find its really easier to shot one handed. My daughter claimed my 738FS.

That is the pistol I purchased to start my ccw class 5 yrs ago. It was going to be just a temp. fire arm till I figured out what I really wanted. I have grown to love that little thing and it is almost always in my pocket. Nothing fancy but reliable as all get out. I have given 4 as gifts. Always puts a smile on someones face. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.

Nice pistol you will like it. I have one and also like it a lot. A few 100 rounds down the tube and its been 100%. I just ordered the The Original Pocket Companion holster from Grandfatheroak for it.

I bought an FS Mighty Mouse (NIB) a couple of weeks ago. Came with only one mag but $209 no complaints for me. Not long after bought 3 more mags; 1 ProMag TAU19 TCP .380ACP 10Rd & 2 ProMag TAU18 TCP .380ACP 6Rd at Academy. Today, at Saxet Gun Show bought a Taurus TCP .380 ACP Grip Extension. BTW, love the way it shoots AND slide locks back after last round fired.
