There's a video on YouTube under 'Bullets @ 1,000,000 fps' or some such thing. (frames per second) with a bunch of steel & glass impacts & even some primer cord. It is truly remarkable.
The first picture claims a .22 bullet traveling at 450fps... I don't think .22 short even pushes that slow.
