I saw that last night and thought the exact same thing!

I always try to imagine the people with out pin-point pupils (from the flash). But from that era they still seem just as gritty.

In the 19th Century they didnt have gun safety Nazis running around telling people to keep their fingers off the triggers of unloaded guns during photoshoots.
