I hope this is the right place for this question, so here goes.
I've got a Kimber CDP Compact (Series I, not that I think it makes much difference) and through using a couple different Blade-Tech Kydex holsters for CCW for the last five years I've gotten some finish wear on it, mostly on the trigger guard.
The black finish has worn through and shows bright shiny silver (aluminum?) now on both sides. Although it does give me that "used look", I'd like to touch it up with something that will match both the color and texture of the original finish. And, of course, something that won't come off the first time I holster it.
Any suggestions? I asked over on the 1911forums.com site and all I got was Rustoleum. Although I'm not averse to using that, if there's something better I'd most likely prefer it.
Any help here?
Thanks,
Mike
