Hi All
This is working from a foggy memory, but. Some time in the late 70s or early 80s I seem to recall Sen DiFi (she may have been the mayor of SF at the time) trying to ban Uzi's in the state of California. I think she also ran up a ban on all handguns (Prop 6 or somthing like that) that came down to a pretty close vote. Or am I just out in left field.

As I recall this was a state thing they had going. I maybe wrong on the UZI bu I know they tried to ban handguns in the golden state around that time.

Dianne has not been successful at all in any of her "control" measures regarding gun owners .
Most politicians hate the fact that we law abiding gun owners can successfully use the polling place in our favor.
Too bad that Americans don't get as inflamed about other issues like they do about the 2A.

They were closed bolt semi-auto Mini-Uzi rifles in .40S&W and 9x19mm.
They were based off the closed bolt select-fire Mini-Uzi that IWI was trying to sell to US LE agencies; primarily it was the US Secret Service, who was looking to replace their old open-bolt Uzi subguns (they ended up adopting the H&K MP5).
