Hey guys, just picked up a Beretta 1935 and figured I need some nice Italian ammo for my nice Italian gun. Problem is I don't know whether I should get their 60gr JHP or 73gr FMJ?

Also would consider other loads as well, already have some flatnosed WWB FMJ for the wife's kel-tec. Saw Buffalo Bore has a +P load. I want to get the most out of this round that I can.

Note: I do not want this to denigrate into a thread about the limitations of the .32 ACP. I am well aware of what they are. I do not need to be educated on them. This is the gun I own, don't tell me I need to buy a bigger caliber. My primary carry is a Kimber Pro .45. Any questions?:p

I use the Fiocchi 73gr FMJ with my Kel-Tec P-32 and have no complaints with them.

I believe the Fiocchi and Seller & Bellot .32ACP (72-73gr) FMJ rounds have been showed to penetration deeper than any other manufacturers .32ACP FMJ round and .32ACP JHP round. This does not include +P rated .32ACP ammo, due to most .32ACP handguns not being rated for +P ammo. So, they were excluded from most testing I've read being done.

Due to the shorter OAL of the .32ACP JHP rounds, you may experience "rim lock" when using them in a magazine fed .32ACP pistol.
So, test the ammo before carrying it for self-defense.

The gun was made in a time when hollow point ammo was virtually unheard of. That doesn't mean it won't function with HP, just that it was made for regular ball type ammo. The Fiocchi ammo is good quality and should work well...same with the S&B. Both of those rounds are some of the few with which I've never experienced rim-lock.

Thanks. It's looking like I'll probably try to 60gr HP, unless someone on here has experience with the +P buffalo bore.

I have 73 grain FMJ .32 ACP by RWS and some Winchester 60 grain Silvertips.
I saw material, years ago, that showed the Silvertips did fairly well in actual shootings.

My .32s are used mostly for fun shooting so most of the time I shoot RWS FMJs.
