Has anyone experienced hard primers or misfires with Fiocchi ammo, in particular their 357 mag. I was getting misfires in an older S&W model 27 with its original mainspring, I changed the mainspring to a newer S&W one. This eliminated most of the problem however I still had three misfires out of one hundred rounds.

This is the only 357 ammo the range had in stock so I had nothing else to compare it to. However, I have used fiocchi 9mm and 45 acp with out a problem in the past.

Thanks

I haven't used Fiocchi for some time but when I did it worked great. I have a S&W 686 and it worked perfectly.

I have shot a LOT of Fiocchi in 9mm, 45ACP and .357Mag. I've not had a single malfunction of any kind while using it.

It shoots VERY accurately in my guns. Particularly in my Beretta 92 and my Ruger GP100.

Could just be a bad batch of ammo. Winchester recently cranked out a ton of .22LR ammo in which about every tenth or 20th round there was no primer. All the guys in our bullseye shoot the stuff because it's good (and cheap), and we all had a bunch of dead ones every week. Every time somebody would pull and get the click, we'd just laugh and say "Winchester".

Thanks.

I ran 100 rounds of Winchester white box and Federal American Eagle through the gun and its just fine.

I like the Fiocchi because its cheap and very accurate in this gun. But if its unreliable I don't need it. Plus its also loaded real hot. You know you're shooting magnums even in the N frame, I think it would be rather unpleasant to shoot these in a scandium J frame.

I found the Fiocchi 357Mag to be very hot, and severely incompatible with my Colt King Cobra. 25 meter bench rest groups were ca. 10 inches. But it shot well in three other guns, including an another King Cobra! And I am 99% sure that there is nothing really wrong with my gun. Weird
