Firearms training/gun renting ranges in east central Indiana?

My mother called this morning to say she has enrolled in a personal safety/self defense class being offered at the hospital where she works, and may in the future be interested in obtaining firearms training.

I am nearly 750 miles away, so there is not much I can do. I will take some firearms for her to become familiar with and shoot when we visit in June. But in the meantime are you fellow Hoosiers aware of courses she can take? She live about 20 miles from Muncie.

How about ranges that rent guns. I would like her to try several different handguns to see what she is comfortable shooting, and I only have a couple, neither of which I would recommend to her.

Thanks for your help. I won't be able to respond until Sunday night or Monday, as I am leaving in just a couple of hours for a weekend retreat with my son.

I live about 20 miles south of Muncie and would be willing to get together with your mother to let her shoot (free of charge) any of the pistols I own (.22, .32, .38, 9mm, .45, 10mm). I'm an NRA certified pistol instructor if that matters.

You might check with NRA instructor [email protected], who is near Acton just southeast of Indy. I took the day-long Basic Pistol course. Personal handguns are optional.
